Literature Text

There are two figures, both standing on a cliff, facing the worn desert terrain.

One is a youth, strong and fierce, with otherwise normal features. He wields a mighty sword as long as he is, and he wears a t-shirt with jeans.

The other is a tall man, handsome by anyone's standards with his long dark hair, and narrow face. He is brandishes no weapon, but he does wear an elaborate black and silver shawl over a thick and ornate black robe.

The youth, obviously tense, roared to the heavens, while the man stood facing away from him.

"I don't get it!" The youth shouted. "You're supposed to be the bad guy!"

"..." The man did not react.

"So Why? Why do I feel so sorry for you?" The youth pleaded. "I'm... I'm supposed to be trying to kill you..." The youth raised his free hand up to his face, and wiped away the tears that were forming. "But here I am, crying for you instead..." He choked back a sob and glared at the large man's back.

"How come you turned bad?" The youth hollered at the man. "I learned that you used to be a hero!" The youth paused. He sighed and held his forehead.

"You were Gold Star Blast!" The youth murmured. He reared his head and continued to yell at the uncaring man in front of him. "You were my hero! And now you're doing all of these horrible things! Why, Gold Star? Why?"

The man turned his head to see the youth out of the corner of his eye. He turned back to the blue sky and yellow sands. "...Fate is cruel, young one." He spoke in such a calm tone, it was almost haunting. "The tides of change can sweep even the strongest men off their feet." The man turned around and walked toward the youth.

"Remember these words: Evil is not born." He continued walking right past the youth. "It is created."
